The British singer-songwriter has made history as the first female solo artiste to simultaneously chart four songs in the top ten of the UK Official Singles Chart; the country’s leading chart monitor.
Dean achieved the milestone with “Man I Need” (No. 2), “So Easy (To Fall in Love)” (No. 6), “Nice to Each Other” (No. 8), and “Rein Me In” (No. 10), her collaboration with fellow British artiste Sam Fender.
All except her collaboration with Fender appear on her sophomore studio album, The Art of Loving, which debuted at No. 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart, another triumph for Dean.
She also became the first British female artiste since Adele to hold a No. 1 song (“Man I Need”) and a No. 1 album in the UK simultaneously. The Art of Loving currently sits at No. 3 on the chart.
Dean’s neo-soul renaissance extends beyond the UK. In the United States, she recently earned her first top ten single on the Billboard Hot 100 as “Man I Need” climbed to No. 8. Meanwhile, The Art of Loving continues its strong run on the Billboard 200, spending a full month in the top ten and holding steady this week at No. 7.
