The Nollywood actress recognised talents who remain undeterred by the industry’s financial setbacks.
Veteran Nollywood actress and producer Omoni Oboli has called for collaboration among Nollywood practitioners as a way out of its challenges.
In a recent Instagram post shared on June 25, Oboli acknowledged the investment losses plaguing the industry and how it is a difficult time for Nigerian filmmakers.
She sought support for filmmakers particularly those who have remained steadfast in the business, investing their time and money.
“Dear Nollywood, nobody’s coming to save us. We are all we have but we are enough. We must be intentional about our survival. It’s hard all round. I know but let’s support the ones fighting tooth and nail to keep the industry running,” she wrote.

The “Love In Every Word” producer believes that Nollywood practitioners should also be more intentional about improving the industry.
“Let’s not choke them. A lot of people are not getting return on investment but they keep going cos they believe and hope for better days. Let’s work together,” she added.
Oboli’s recent call buttressed the previous suggestion of actor Olumide Owuro, who also sees collaboration as a solution for Nollywood to thrive amid its challenges.
