Rema’s latest single, Fun, has claimed the No.1 spot on the UK’s Official Afrobeats Singles Charts, ending Odeal’s two-week reign with Miami.

This marks Rema’s second chart-topper in the UK this year, following Baby Is It A Crime, placing him just behind Tyla, who leads with three No.1s in 2025 (Push 2 Start, Is It, and Dynamite featuring Wizkid).

Since its release, Fun has racked up remarkable streaming numbers. It debuted at the top of both Apple Music and Spotify Nigeria and set one of the highest single-day streaming records for a Nigerian track, with 3.4 million plays in 24 hours.

The momentum is global: on the U.S. Billboard Afrobeats Songs Chart, Fun currently sits at No.5, with Molly and Silent Addy’s Shake It to the Max at No.1.

Launched in 2020, the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart has become a key benchmark for tracking the genre’s international growth.

Rema’s latest success with Fun reinforces the global reach of Nigerian Afrobeats and its growing dominance across multiple territories.
