Set for release in August, the film follows a Nigerian immigrant and an American oncologist navigating marriage, medicine, and unresolved secrets.
Tega Mofe-Damijo is set to make his screen debut in “Revelations,” starring alongside his father, veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD).
The cross-continental drama is scheduled for release this August and explores themes of love, infertility, cultural tension, and emotional healing.
The story follows Kesiana Voke, a Nigerian immigrant who moves to Utah to become a surgical oncologist. There, he meets Melissa, an American doctor. The pair fall in love, marry, and build successful careers at the Ogden Valley Medical center. But their seemingly perfect life is tested by infertility and buried trauma—from Voke’s past in Nigeria to Melissa’s hidden struggles.
Produced by Tanya Price, who also co-stars, “Revelations” merges Nigerian storytelling with the American cinematic style. The cast includes Chioma Chukwuka, Alex Boyé, and Ryon Thomas, blending local and international talent.
RMD describes the film as a personal milestone. “This isn’t just a film, it’s a deeply personal journey. Sharing the screen with my son is a gift I’ll always cherish,” he said.
Tega reflects on the experience as both challenging and grounding. “Working alongside my dad on a story with so much depth has been life-changing,” he said.
“Revelations” aims to expand the scope of Nollywood by combining authentic African narratives with global storytelling techniques.
