Nigerian actress and filmmaker Stephanie Okereke Linus has been confirmed as a jury member for the upcoming Zuma International Film Festival (ZUFF), set to take place from December 1 to 5, 2024, in Abuja.
Known for her celebrated roles and contributions to African cinema, Linus will be part of a distinguished panel evaluating entries from across the globe.
This year’s festival, themed *’Digital Renaissance: Embracing the Future,’* has received a record-breaking 3,120 film submissions from countries including Iran, India, the United States, Spain, France, and Nigeria.
The Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC), organizers of the event, shared this during a recent press briefing, emphasizing the festival’s focus on the transformative power of digital technology in filmmaking.

Dr. Ali Nuhu, Managing Director and Chief Executive of the NFC, highlighted the festival’s broader impact on the Nigerian cultural and creative economy. “The Zuma International Film Festival is more than an event. It promotes Nigeria’s cultural heritage, creates jobs, empowers the youth, and fosters international collaborations,” Nuhu stated.
Linus, a respected figure in Nollywood, has an impressive career spanning over two decades. With multiple accolades under her belt, including the Reel Award for Best Actress and several nominations at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, her involvement in ZUFF underscores the festival’s commitment to recognizing excellence in filmmaking.
In addition to her artistic achievements, Linus received the national honor of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2011, cementing her status as one of Nigeria’s most influential creative voices.
