Toluwani Obayan’s “Colour Me True” to Premiere in November
The First Features Project has announced November 2025 as the release window for Colour Me True, its tenth film, written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Toluwani Obayan Osibe.
The drama follows Ivie, a popular celebrity forced to confront her past when a public scandal leads her back to the orphanage where she grew up. The film stars Shalewa Ashafa as Ivie, alongside Bucci Franklin, Eseosa Bernard, Nnamdi Agbo, and Gerard Adebija.
With its emotionally charged storytelling and strong performances, Colour Me True continues the First Features Project’s mission to champion fresh Nigerian voices.
Supported by Natives Filmworks and MichelAngelo Productions, the initiative has produced standout films including Cake, Kill Boro, and The House of Secrets.
The official trailer for Colour Me True is expected to debut in the coming weeks ahead of its nationwide release.
