A new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey has revealed a cameo appearance by Travis Scott.

The minute-long trailer aired during the AFC Championship game on Jan. 25, 2026, featuring the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos. In the footage, the Grammy-nominated rapper is seen in dark costume, holding a staff, in what appears to be a brief role as a messenger delivering news connected to the fall of Troy.

While details of Scott’s character have not been officially confirmed, the appearance suggests his first acting role in a major feature film. Universal Pictures, the film’s distributor, has not yet released the trailer on its official social media channels.

Nolan and Scott have previously collaborated on the soundtrack for Tenet (2020), for which the rapper recorded the song “The Plan.” Scott’s 2020 music video for “Franchise” was also screened in select IMAX theaters ahead of Tenet showings.

The Odyssey marks Nolan’s latest large-scale historical project and is scheduled for release on July 17, 2026. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, Himesh Patel, Will Yun Lee, Mia Goth and Jimmy Gonzales.

Based on Homer’s epic poem, the film follows Odysseus, played by Damon, as he attempts to return home after the Trojan War.
