Tyla Wins Two Awards at 2026 American Music Awards

Tyla secures two wins at the 2026 American Music Awards, taking home Best Afrobeats Artiste and Social Song of the Year for “Chanel” at the 52nd edition held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

 

Her win for Best Afrobeats Artiste marks a second consecutive victory in the category, ahead of nominees including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Rema, and Moliy.

 

Chanel,” which earns her the Social Song of the Year award, records over 352.8 million streams on Spotify, reinforcing its global reach. Tyla does not attend the ceremony but remains one of the night’s multiple award winners.

 

The latest wins add to a growing list of international recognitions for the artist. She previously wins a Grammy Awards trophy for Best African Music Performance with “Water” and records back-to-back victories at the MTV Video Music Awards, taking Best Afrobeats Video in 2024 for “Water” and in 2025 for “Push 2 Start.”
