Daniella Monet will return as Trina Vega in the new spin-off of the beloved Nickelodeon series with filming underway in Vancouver.
“Victorious” Spin-Off “Hollywood Arts” Begins Production
Production has begun on Hollywood Arts, a spin-off of Nickelodeon’s hit sitcom Victorious, which ended in 2013 after four seasons.
Filming is underway in Vancouver, with a premiere set for Netflix in 2026, followed by releases on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ later that year.
The original Victorious followed teenager Tori Vega (Victoria Justice) as she navigated the performing arts high school Hollywood Arts, alongside her sister Trina (Daniella Monet) and fellow students Andre Harris (Leon Thomas III), Robbie Shapiro (Matt Bennett), Jade West (Elizabeth Gillies), Cat Valentine (Ariana Grande), and Beck Oliver (Avan Jogia). The series earned strong ratings and two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Children’s Program.
In the upcoming spin-off, Daniella Monet reprises her role as Trina Vega, an aspiring actor who never achieved fame. Now returning to Hollywood Arts High School as an unqualified substitute teacher, she struggles to connect with a new generation of ambitious students while rediscovering her passion for the performing arts.
“Coming back as Trina alongside such a dynamic, powerful cast of newcomers is something I feel very lucky and grateful to do,” Monet said in a statement. “Victorious was life-changing for all of us. Our cast is forever bonded by that experience, and having the chance to revisit that world feels surreal.”
Joining Monet are rising actors Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze, and Martin Kamm. Yvette Nicole Brown will also make a guest appearance as Principal Helen. It is not yet confirmed whether other original cast members will appear in the series.
Hollywood Arts is produced by Paramount Television Studios, with Monet serving as executive producer alongside Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin, who also act as showrunners and writers. Farrow previously worked on both Victorious and its spin-off Sam & Cat, and was the voice behind Robbie’s puppet Rex Powers in the original series. The pilot episode will be directed and executive produced by Jonathan Judge. Victorious creator Dan Schneider, who parted ways with Nickelodeon in 2018, is not involved in the project.
The first table read took place on October 14, and the series will feature 26 episodes in its debut season. Until the release, fans can stream all episodes of Victorious Seasons 1–3 on Netflix.
