Wizkid has unveiled the tracklist for his upcoming sixth studio album, “Morayo”, set to release on November 22, 2024.
The album features an intriguing mix of collaborations, including Afrobeats star Asake, Grammy-winning R&B vocalist Jazmine Sullivan, Grammy-nominated Brent Faiyaz, and emerging artiste Anais Cardot and Taikola.
While fans are excited about the diverse lineup, Odumodublvck’s exclusion from the album has sparked conversations online. The rapper had earlier hinted at a collaboration with Wizkid, claiming it would silence his critics.
Following the tracklist reveal, his absence became a trending topic on X, but Odumodublvck seemed unfazed as he assured fans he might appear on a deluxe version of the album.
Notably, the album’s promotional singles are already breaking records. “Piece of My Heart”, featuring Brent Faiyaz, ranks second in Spotify Nigeria’s all-time streaming peaks, while the second single, “Kese (Dance)“, holds the top spot.
However, the buzz for ” Morayo” hasn’t been free of controversy. Tiwa Savage, a frequent collaborator of Wizkid, recently called out a member of his fanbase for making toxic comparisons between her and the artiste. “….yall are not fans anymore ooo you guys are actual bullies.” She wrote.
Despite this, Wizkid and Savage remain iconic collaborators known for hits like “Ma Lo”.
With its impressive lineup and record-breaking singles, “Morayo” is poised to be one of the year’s most anticipated albums. Fans now eagerly await its release to experience what Wizkid has described as a bold new chapter in his musical journey.
