De9jaSpirit Talent Hunt started its second season in Calabar on August 28, 2022.

All the judges from the first season – Ini Edo, IK Ogbonna and Dr Sid – have been retained for this new season except Buchi, who was replaced by Liquorose, the Big Brother Naija Season 6 first runner-up.

TNR gathered exclusively from DTH Head of projects and Producer, Charles Simeon that the season one was very effective. “Despite the fact that it was our pilot edition and foundation, we were able to set our footings right,” he said. In addition to this, the show garnered a good number of contestants for season one. “We had 50 slots with over 80 contestants,” Simeon stated.

However, according to the show’s producer, the second season of De9jaSpirit Talent Hunt has only 25 slots with 37 contestants. “We discovered after season one that some contestants were not really known by fans well enough before they were evicted. So, we decided to reduce the number so that before eviction a contestant talent is already known and appreciated by fans to a greater extent” because “DTH platform is designed to make talents shine.”

DTH is in the business of talent discovery and setting a platform for talent display. “We don’t compare ourselves with others. We started DTH on the principle that everyone was created with a talent and God’s plan,” Simeon pointed out.

Watch this program every Tuesday 8pm from August 30 on all Soundcity TV channels on DSTv and GoTv and on Saturday, 7pm on all Wazobia TV channels on DSTv, GoTv, Startimes and MyTv.
