Netflix has officially released the teaser trailer for the second season of “Wednesday,” and Jenna Ortega is back playing the titular moody teenager with a knack for getting into trouble and solving murder mysteries.
According to the streaming service, the eight-episode season will be split into two parts: Part 1 premieres on August 6, 2025, followed by Part 2 on September 3, 2025.
“Wednesday” Season 2 brings the Addams family back to the screens with Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones), Gomez Addams (Luis Guzman), and Pugsley Addams (Isaac Ordonez) still scaring everyone to death with their dark outfits and piercing stares. Wednesday’s eccentric Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen), and her trusted hand Thing (Victor Dorobantu) also return to spice up the already gloomy season.

From the trailer’s ominous presence, it appears that Wednesday has finally made a home at Nevermore Academy—a school for outcasts like her. This means that she will be reunited with her friends and acquaintances, including her bubbly roommate Enid (Emma Myers), her former love interest Tyler (Hunter Doohan), her rival Bianca (Joy Sunday), her close friend Eugene (Moosa Mostafa), and Enid’s boyfriend Ajax (Georgie Farmer).
Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah Taylor, Christopher Lloyd, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joanna Lumley, Joonas Suotamo, Thandie Newton, Lady Gaga, and Adam McNamara newly join the cast for the new season.
Ortega also returns as a producer for the new season, with legendary director Tim Burton at the helm, alongside Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson.
“Wednesday” Season 2 wrapped production in late 2024 in Ireland.
