The Filmjoint Premieres is set for its fourth edition, with organisers announcing an open call for short film submissions from filmmakers across the world.

The announcement was made via the platform’s official Instagram page, where organisers detailed the entry window and submission process. According to the statement, filmmakers will have a one-week preparation window ahead of the official submission date of December 1, 2025, with all entries to be submitted through FilmFreeway.

The new call follows the third edition held in July, where Shedrack Salami’s Beyond Olympic Glory and Wapah Ezeigwe’s Shall We Meet Tonight ranked among the Top 5 selections for their strong storytelling and audience reception.

Now in its fourth cycle, the Filmjoint Premieres continues its commitment to giving short films a platform to thrive. Organisers say the goal is to highlight impactful stories and amplify a format often overshadowed by feature-length productions in Nigeria and internationally.

The event also doubles as a community space for filmmakers and cinephiles, creating visibility for emerging directors while expanding the appreciation of short-form storytelling.
