CNN International Commercial (CNNIC) and Dangote Industries Limited have announced a new multiyear, multiplatform partnership that includes the sponsorship of Africa Inc., a new half-hour program hosted by Nigerian journalist Adefemi Akinsanya.

The show will explore African companies and their growing presence across the global business landscape, covering sectors including technology, hospitality, manufacturing, and entertainment.

According to CNNIC, the program will examine how companies across the continent are competing and expanding internationally, while highlighting Africa’s growing influence on global commerce, innovation, and consumer trends.

The partnership also includes Africa First, a branded content series produced by CNNIC’s in-house studio, Create. The series will focus on Africa’s efforts towards energy independence and economic transformation, with Dangote Industries Limited featured as an example of the continent’s industrial development.

Cathy Ibal, Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales at CNNIC, said the partnership reflects a shared interest in highlighting developments across the continent.

“This partnership reflects our shared ambition to spotlight the innovation, resilience, and leadership emerging from Africa, and connect this with CNN’s global audience through media and events,” she said.

Africa First branded content launches this week, while Africa Inc. will premiere on CNN International on August 29. Four additional episodes of the programme are scheduled to air through 2026 and into 2027.
