Gripping Spy-Thriller ‘The House of Secrets’ Teases Unraveled Mysteries

Niyi Akinmolayan’s upcoming film, The House of Secrets is set to release on Prime Video on June 30. The spy-thriller film, shot primarily in shades of grey, black, and white, marks Anthill Studios’ first release in 2023.

The House of Secrets revolves around Najite Dede’s character, a woman who must confront a dark past as a semblance of her old house helps her tap into missing memories.

The film, directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on June 30, as part of a multi-year deal signed with the streaming platform in January 2022. It will be Anthill Studios’ first straight-to-streaming title.

Set in the 90s, The House of Secrets delves into haunting past and uncovered secrets within its walls, exploring themes of time, truth, and love. The official trailer offers glimpses of intriguing mysteries and hidden memories, heightening anticipation for the film.

Written by Niyi Akinmolayan and Dolapo Adigun, the film features an ensemble cast including Efe Irele, Shawn Faqua, Kate Henshaw, Onajite Dede, Femi Jacobs, Taye Arimoro, Emeka Nwagbaraocha, Gbubemi Ejeye, Metein Ebiwari, Moyinoluwa Olutayo, Ekpenyong Bassey Inyang, Tobi Daniels, Anee Icha, and Funlola Aofiyebi.

Niyi Akinmolayan, known for his directorial prowess in films like The Set Up and Chief Daddy, is also the founder and creative director of Anthill Studios. The studio has been behind remarkable works in Nollywood, including Elevator Baby, The Man for the Job, and King of Thieves.

In an Instagram post, Niyi Akinmolayan shared the trailer, stating, “The past haunts the present within these walls, and lurking secrets come to light.”
