Inkblot Productions Announces Football-Themed Romance “When Love Strikes”

Inkblot Productions, the studio behind Netflix hits “Far From Home” and “Superstar,” has unveiled its latest project, “When Love Strikes,” set for a nationwide theatrical release on September 13, 2024.
Directed by Adeoluwa Owu, known for “Tribe Called Judah” and “Adire,” the film follows IBK, a young footballer navigating personal and professional challenges in Nigeria’s competitive sports world.
Eku Edewor, producer of “Breath of Life,” leads the production team. The cast features AMVCA-winning actor Osas Ighodaro, Zubby Michael , Natse Jemide, alongside industry veterans Bimbo Akintola.
“This heartwarming football-themed movie offers an intimate glimpse into the personal and professional challenges footballers and their families face,” Inkblot said in a statement.
The screenplay is co-written by Chinaza Onuzo and Joy Bewaji, promising a blend of sports drama and romance.
“When Love Strikes” represents Inkblot’s continued commitment to producing commercially viable films for both Nigerian and international audiences.
As the September premiere approaches, industry watchers will be keen to see if this sports romance can match the success of Inkblot’s previous productions.
