“ỤNỌ (The F in Family)” Brings Dysfunctional Family Dramedy to Theaters

Following the triumph of “Yahoo+,” Nigerian filmmaker Ebuka Njoku’s sophomore effort, “ỤNỌ (The F in Family),” is set to hit theaters on May 17, promising a blend of family drama and romantic comedy.

 

Directed by Njoku, the film centers on Junior (Keezyto), an eccentric young man attempting to reunite his fiancée with his estranged family after a decade apart. What begins as a simple reintroduction evolves into a profound examination of relationships and familial bonds.

 

Set in Enugu, one of the eastern states in Nigeria, “ỤNỌ” boasts an ensemble cast led by Nkem Owoh, Jennifer Eliogu, and Keezyto, alongside Sophia Chisom, Tomi Ojo, Abayomi Alvin, DJ Capello, and Chimamanda Ukwueze.

 

ỤNỌ” is produced by Njoku and Lorenzo Menakaya, with Kingsley Nnebo, Freeman Tochukwu, and Frank Nwoba as associate producers.

 

Njoku’s “Yahoo+” won Best Narrative Feature at the Eastern Nigeria International Film Festival and landed on multiple best-of-2022 lists. With “ỤNỌ,” he promises both laughs and profound family moments.

 

Distributed by Cinemax, the Nigerian dramedy “ỤNỌ (The F in Family)” hits theaters May 17.
