Renowned Kaduna-born actress Rahama Ibrahim Sadau has been distinguished with an appointment to the technical committee of the IDICE (Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprise) Program.
The appointment came via inclusion courtesy of Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, whom Sadau thanked profusely on X (formerly Twitter).
“I am pleased, honored and humbled to accept my appointment to serve on the technical committee of the IDICE (INVESTMENT IN DIGITAL AND CREATIVE ENTERPRISE) PROGRAM,” said the actress. “My warmest appreciation to my principal His Excellency Senator Kashim Shettima for the recognition & inclusion.”
The IDICE Program is a pivotal initiative aimed at fostering growth within the digital and creative industries, with collaborative efforts from the government and international partners such as the Bank of Industry, African Development Bank, French Development Agency, and Islamic Development Bank.
Sadau’s appointment to the technical committee, led by Tope Kolade Fasua, the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters, is a testament to her illustrious career and recognition within the industry.
The committee’s members include various industry experts and professionals, such as Olumide Soyombo, Ifeoluwa Adebayo, and Isa Omagu, among others.
Sadau’s impressive body of work, including her drama series “Sons of the Caliphate” and the Showmax series “Sadau Sisters,” as well as her recent role in “The American King,” directed by award-winning U.S.-based Nigerian filmmaker Jeta Amata, have undoubtedly contributed to her appointment.
Despite past controversies that threatened to derail her career, Sadau’s successes and recognition continue to grow, solidifying her place as a respected and influential figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
