Derwin Film Academy, in partnership with the Lagos State Government, has launched a free film training program for Lagos residents aged 18 to 35.

Supported by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) and the United States African Development Foundation (USADF), this initiative aims to equip young people with skills in various areas of film production.

The six-week program covers essential topics, including acting, directing, producing, cinematography, scriptwriting, set design, lighting, sound production, and editing.

After completing the course, participants will have the opportunity to join a three-month paid internship to further develop their practical skills in a real-world environment.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, with limited slots available. Interested individuals can register online or contact the organizers via their social media pages

This initiative complements other efforts by the Lagos State Government to nurture local talent, including the free film training program offered through Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife Creative Academy.
