Nigerian producer Mayowa Daramola has announced a new stage play, Closure Is For Wigs, set to premiere in Lagos on May 2, 2026.
The production is a collaboration between Daramola, Niyi Akinmolayan’s Anthill Studios, and Immersia. Details about the play were first shared in a short teaser video posted on Instagram.
Closure Is For Wigs centres on the emotional aftermath of romantic breakups, focusing on the idea of seeking closure after a relationship ends. The story unfolds through a final dinner conversation between a couple, where unresolved tensions lead to difficult questions about honesty, memory, and emotional accountability.

Positioned as an immersive experience, the play explores themes of love, truth, nostalgia, and healing, while interrogating what “closure” means within relationships.
The cast includes Adekanmbi Nimi, known for The Yard (2025) and 3 Working Days (2024), alongside Desmond Bryce, a Nigerian actor and voice-over artist whose credits include Onobiren (2026) and the Omera series.
The play is scheduled to debut in Lagos on May 2.
