The Recording Academy has confirmed Trevor Noah’s return as host of the 2025 Grammy Awards, marking his fifth consecutive appearance.
The event is scheduled for February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, and will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.
Noah, renowned for his sharp humor and seamless stage presence, has been a favorite since his debut as Grammy host in 2021. This year, he doubles as a nominee in the Best Comedy Album category for his work, “Where Was I,” competing against Ricky Gervais, Dave Chappelle, Jim Gaffigan, and Nikki Glaser.
The 67th Grammy Awards will take on a unique tone this year, with proceeds and attention directed toward supporting victims of the devastating California wildfires. The natural disaster has claimed lives, displaced thousands, and strained emergency resources. Despite the tragedy, the awards will proceed to “honor the artistry of music while amplifying the resilience of Los Angeles,” according to Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy.
In a letter to members, Mason emphasized the event’s renewed purpose, noting the Recording Academy and MusiCares’ $1 million donation to wildfire relief efforts. He added that over $2 million in emergency aid has already been distributed, with plans to raise additional funds during the ceremony.
While most pre- and post-Grammy events have been canceled, the show itself will feature tributes to first responders and the resilient spirit of Los Angeles. Artists such as Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Gracie Abrams have pledged donations to wildfire relief, further highlighting the music industry’s collective response to the crisis.
Beyoncé leads this year’s nominations with eleven nods, including Album of the Year for her genre-defying project, “Cowboy Carter”.
