KPop Demon Hunters emerged as one of the top winners at the 2026 Astra Film Awards, securing three major honours at the ceremony organised by the Hollywood Creative Alliance. The Netflix animated feature finished as the second most-awarded title of the night, trailing only Ryan Coogler’s Sinners.
Actress and singer Arden Cho, who voices Rumi in the film, confirmed the wins via Instagram following the awards ceremony. The film received awards for Best Animated Feature, Best Voiceover Performance, and Best Original Song.

The animated musical, which follows a K-pop group battling demons through music, earned Cho the Best Voiceover Performance prize. Its soundtrack single, Golden, also claimed Best Original Song, adding to the film’s awards momentum.
In the Best Animated Feature category, KPop Demon Hunters prevailed over a competitive field that included Arco, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle, In Your Dreams, Little Amélie, and Zootopia 2.
Cho’s Best Voiceover Performance win came against nominees including Nick Offerman (The Life of Chuck), Will Patton (Train Dreams), Natalie Portman (Arco), Shakira (Zootopia 2), and Scarlett Sher (Weapons).

For Best Original Song, Golden defeated Clothed by the Sun (The Testament of Ann Lee), The Girl in the Bubble (Wicked: For Good), I Lied to You (Sinners), No Place Like Home (Wicked: For Good), and Train Dreams (Train Dreams).
The win marked the second time Golden has beaten Sinners’ I Lied to You in the category, following a similar result at the Critics’ Choice Awards. Directed by Maggie Kang, KPop Demon Hunters continues to build a strong awards-season profile for Netflix’s animation slate.
