3 Cold Dishes, a pan-African film directed by Oluseyi Asurf, is set to have its Calgary premiere at a special screening curated by filmmakers Ejiro Ononrakpor and Nenritji Suwa in Canada.
Asurf revealed this in a collaborative post on Instagram, announcing the venue for the upcoming screening at The Grand, a performance and event centre in Calgary, Canada.
The screening of 3 Cold Dishes, curated in honour of Black History Month in February, will also feature a Q&A session with the film’s director. The session is expected to offer audiences deeper insight into the film’s themes, inspiration, and creative process.

Addressing the realities of human trafficking in Africa, 3 Cold Dishes follows the story of three women, Esosa (Osas Ighodaro), Fatouma (Fat Toure), and Giselle (Maud Guerard), who were previously trafficked and later reunite to confront those responsible for their exploitation.
As part of the programmes curated by Ononrakpor and Suwa to celebrate Black-led storytelling, the screening is positioned to highlight Black cultural experiences through its focus on survival, identity, revenge, and the reclamation of power.
