Davido has been named as one of the inductees for the 2026 Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia. The Nigerian Afrobeats superstar will be honored at an induction ceremony scheduled for June 1 in Atlanta’s Historic Westside.
The Walk of Fame, created by the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus, recognizes individuals who have shaped Black entertainment and music globally. Davido joins a 2026 class that includes rapper Ludacris, gospel singer Paul S. Morton, and former Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson.
With the recognition, Davido joins Nigerian Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti among African artistes previously honored by the organization. Since its launch in 2021, the Walk of Fame has inducted entertainers including Beyoncé, Usher, Stevie Wonder, and Mary J. Blige.
Inductees receive plaques placed along the walkway in Atlanta’s Historic Westside in recognition of their impact on Black culture. Davido, born David Adeleke, has become one of Afrobeats’ biggest global acts, with his album Timeless earning Grammy nominations and his most recent project 5IVE receiving further international recognition.
