Jide Kene to Make Production Debut with “City of Dreams” Series
Nollywood actor Jide Kene Achufusi, popularly known as Swanky JKA, is set to make his production debut with a new television series titled “City of Dreams.”
The upcoming series will be filmed in Enugu, the actor’s hometown, and has received the endorsement of the state’s governor, Peter Mbah.
Governor Mbah shared news of the project on May 24 following a courtesy visit from the actor. “City of Dreams is not just a film; it is a tribute to Enugu, the most beautiful city in Nigeria,” the governor wrote, describing the project as a celebration of the state’s beauty and creative spirit.

Expressing his full support for the series, Mbah praised Kene as a “shining example” of the creative talent emerging from the region. The series, he added, reflects Enugu’s growing potential as a hub for film and television production.
Kene, who gained prominence for his roles in “Living in Bondage: Breaking Free,” “Black Rose,” and “Pretty Little Thing,” is aiming to use “City of Dreams” as both a personal milestone and a platform to tell stories rooted in his cultural background.
