Nigerian music heavyweights Wizkid and Bloody Civilian are set to join forces on an upcoming EP dedicated to honoring the timeless legacy of reggae legend Bob Marley. This venture marks a significant moment in the convergence of Afrobeats and Reggae genres, displaying the cultural interconnectedness of these musical styles.

 

The collaboration follows the 2023 release of the ‘Africa Unite’ album, curated by Bob Marley’s estate, featuring Nigerian sensations Patoranking, Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage, Oxlade, and Ayra Starr. The forthcoming ‘One Love’ EP aims to perpetuate Bob Marley’s enduring influence, fostering unity among diverse global audiences.

 

Bloody Civilian

Wizkid’s participation in this project underscores his status as a transcendent musical icon, solidifying his position as one of Africa’s foremost artists with a global reach. Meanwhile, Bloody Civilian, known for her contribution to the ‘Black Panther’ soundtrack and the success of her debut EP, ‘Anger Management,’ brings her unique sound to this cross-genre tribute.
